Greg Black threw a great game allowing only 2 hits striking out 8 batters.  Saints now 9-13, will face New Haven on Monday at 3:30 at Angola Sectional.

Saints jump out early with the lead, but too many walks and errors cost the Saints.  Season now complete, finish with 9-14 record.

Bishop Dwenger High School is located on the north side of Fort Wayne just minutes off of Interstate 69 at the Coldwater Road exit.  BDHS is a member of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (I.H.S.A.A.).  BDHS has been very successful on the baseball field.  The school has only had a record below .500 three seasons since the 1985 season.  The 1987 team was ranked #2 in the state, won the Concordia Sectional and 27 games.  The 1991 team was one game from the state finals and won a school record 28 games that year.  The 2000 team was also one game away from the Class AAA Final Four. The 2002 team was ranked  #1 in the state the last 5 weeks of the season, won the Concordia Sectional and finished with a 27-3 record. The all-time winning record is 56% of their games in the 32 years of the sport. Coach Windmiller has won 61% of the games in his tenure. 

Throughout the years, Bishop Dwenger has had players named all-conference, all-area, all-state, and Indiana All-Stars.
Many players have also gone on to play at the collegiate level:  Cory Sokolowski is a Junior  at the University of Saint Francis.  Chris Howell is a Senior at Taylor University. Matt Maringer is Junior at the University of Indianapolis.  Corey Marchant and Dan Maringer are Sophomores at Manchecter College.
